As a qualified gemmologist who studied diamonds at the International Gemmological Institute in Antwerp, Raphael specialises in fine quality, certified diamonds from the world’s most renowned bodies GIA, IGI and HRD. Besides loose diamonds, Raphael’s exquisite outlet, offers a wide range of precious stones, diamond jewellery, semi-precious stones and silver jewellery. A range suitable for different tastes and budgets.
More than just jewellery
Raphael Azzopardi Jewellery is not only about jewellery but also about adorning one’s home with luxury home decor items and also everyday necessities such as dinner sets, stemware and barware. Raphael comes from the Azzopardi family – a line of jewellers reaching back as far as 1898.
The seeds to a family of jewellers were sowed in a workshop in Valletta where Emmanuele Azzopardi handcrafted fine jewellery for the fashion-forward, upper class of the time.
Emmanuele’s son, Victor Azzopardi, opened the first retail outlet in Floriana.
Joseph Azzopardi, Raphael’s father, continued to run the business in Floriana.
Raphael Azzopardi joined the family business. In 1999, he furthered his studies at the HRD-Institute of Gemmology in Antwerp.
